MICHEAL WANINDA WAMASEBU,
Head of Inspections and Quality Assurance
Joined the Public Service as a Pupil State Attorney in the DPP’s office in 1986 and rose through the ranks of Senior and Principal State Attorney in 1990 and 1995 respectively, and had accelerated promotion to the post of Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions. He was tasked to set up and operationalized the new Department of Inspections, Research and Quality Assurance. This he did successfully and has been at the helm of the DPP’s Inspectorate function to date.
He has carried out many important assignments in the Directorate and the Civil Service at large, and attended numerous short and long term academic and professional programs in Uganda and overseas.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University (1983), a post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre (1985) and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from ESAMI (2008).
Prior to joining the civil service, he had a stint in Private Practice from 1885 -86 with the then leading Law Firm of Tsekooko and Wekesa Advocates in Mbale where he worked as a Legal Associate.
He is also the Grand Advocate of the KNIGHTS OF ST MULUMBA, the Uganda Chapter.
He had his early education in Kapkoros Primary School, Kabyoyon Farm School and Kisoko Primary school where he sat for the Primary Leaving Examinations. He had Ordinary and Advanced level education in St. Mary’s College Kisubi then joined Makerere University for a Bachelor of Laws Degree.
He was born in 1958.
