Mr. Charles Elem Ogwal

Mr. Charles Elem was born in the Northern district of Lira in 1961.
Mr. Charles Elem obtained his Law degree in 1984 and Diploma in Legal Practice in 1985. He then joined the then Ministry of Justice as a Pupil State Attorney in the same year and rose through the ranks to his present status in 2002. He is currently the Assistant DPP in charge of International affairs and field operations.
An enrolled advocate of the High Court, he studied in Canon Lawrence Demonstration School, Boroboro for his primary and at Nyakasura School and Lango College for his "O" and "A" levels respectively.
At the University, he was Speaker of the University Hall Students' Common Room.
Mr. Elem has undergone numerous postgraduate training in the field of Intellectual Property in Switzerland, France, Germany, Sweden and the USA. He also trained in combating and prevention of Corruption in the UK.
Mr. Elem is as well currently the National Focal Point for Uganda of the United Nations Office for Drug Control and Crime Prevention. He has undergone training in The Republic of South Africa in the same field.
